Dive Training

Just Completed a Try Dive and Want to Start Your Diving Qualifications? Then Wirral Sub-Aqua Club is a Good Place to Start.

Wirral Sub-Aqua Club (WSAC) are a club within the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC), the largest diving organisation in the UK and home of UK scuba diving and snorkelling. We are an active club and have been training and diving for over 40 years – that’s a lot of training and a lot of hours under water!

Training takes place on a Thursday evening at Neston Recreation Centre and consists of both theory and pool practical lessons. Once completed training sessions move to open water, each part following the BSAC programme.

WSAC can offer various training qualifications from Ocean Diver upwards in a very cost-effective way as all our instructors, who are BSAC-qualified, offer the training on a voluntary basis. We also have access to training days offered by BSAC North West regional training team, however these would be at an additional cost.

Crossover training is available for divers from other agencies.

Learn to Snorkel

In April/May 2018 (watch out for our announcements), WSAC will be launching our very own Snorkelling Club! If you are a little unsure of scuba diving, then why not try snorkelling, it might be just the thing for you and yes, you still can see lots of marine life! It’s not just for adults either, children from the age of 10 can join - perfect in so many ways as you can join as a family!

Our snorkelling instructors will take you through theory and pool practical lessons, and progress you to open water. Again, all our training follows the BSAC syllabus.

All our instructors, either for scuba or snorkelling are DBS checked and we follow a Safeguarding Policy in accordance with BSAC regulations.
